The short version: Use the app for fun, stay safe and respectful while you shoot, and remember your photos are yours.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Dare Roll (“the app”), you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). If these terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies. The app is made by Marek Salurand (mareks.ee).
2. Your photos are yours
You own everything you create with the app. Your photos and diary stay on your device, and we claim no rights to them. See the Privacy Policy.
3. Dare responsibly
Dares are playful creative prompts, not instructions. When you take part:
- Stay aware of your surroundings. Don't photograph while driving, near traffic, at heights or anywhere unsafe.
- Respect people's privacy. Many dares are designed to work without faces. Ask before photographing people, and follow local laws on photography.
- Don't trespass, damage property or break rules to complete a dare.
- Skip, reroll or ignore any dare that doesn't feel right. There's no penalty that matters.
You are responsible for how you complete dares and for the photos you take and share.
4. Sharing
If you share photos or share cards through other apps, you're responsible for that content and for following those apps' terms.
5. The app, as is
We work hard to make Dare Roll reliable and delightful, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Because your data lives only on your device, we can't recover it if your device is lost, reset or the app is deleted. Keep device backups if your diary matters to you.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app or from activities you undertake while completing dares. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design, dare prompts, artwork and name are owned by the developer. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them outside personal use.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
